Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. TAS I particularly liked the white card that you set up with the clamp as a reflector. I think that I have the right equipment, I am just not using it properly, also I am lazy I guess. When looking at ten boxes of beads overflowing the sides, that need to be photographed, it gets a little daunting. I have trouble I guess applying the proper care to every shot.

I will have to rearrange my priorities I guess.

My Equipment list:

Camera: Nikon Cool pix S4 with macro setting, 10x zoom, 6 megapixels. (I like this because it has the twist body allowing me to sit in my chair and take pictures from above while twisting the body of the camera so I can see the image in the screen).

Lighting: Two Alzo 14 inch light funnels on sturdy tripods, with the flourescent lamps such as Luann showed. Each has a soft translucent screen over the front (probably not as good as grocery bags).

Base platform: Frosted plexiglass curved sheet on a sturdy steel frame with secondary sheet of clear plexiglass underneath allowing the use of "under lighting", although I have never used this effectively.

I have a tripod but do not use it because I cannot get to it well enough to use it, plus it takes so long to set up each shot. I cannot stand up for more than a few minutes to take pics. Perhaps I can set something up on the floor that will allow me to get above the subject while still in my wheelchair. I will also try using a better background material.

Like my ancestors, I will endeavor to persevere.
